Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side w/AWD
Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
- Remove the cross vehicle brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement.
- Remove the exhaust system. Refer to
Exhaust System Replacement.
- Remove the upper engine mount retaining nut (1).
- Remove the lower engine mount retaining nuts.
- Install a screw jack with a block of wood under the oil pan for support.
Important: Note position of the engine mount prior to removing mount.
- Using the screw jack, raise the engine enough to remove the engine mount.
- Remove the engine mount from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: Ensure the engine mount is positioned correctly.
- Install the engine mount to the vehicle.
- Using the screw jack, lower the engine.
- Remove the screw jack and block of wood supporting the engine.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the upper engine mount retaining nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
- Install the right and left lower engine mount retaining nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
- Install the exhaust system. Refer to
Exhaust System Replacement.
- Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement.
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side w/RWD
Removal Procedure
- Remove the tower brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement.
- Remove the nut (1) from the top of the engine mount.
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Position a screw jack and a block of wood under the engine oil pan.
- Remove the right and left engine mount lower nut (1).
- Using the screw jack, raise the engine enough to remove the engine mount (1).
- Be sure to remove the engine mount slotted washer (1) or plastisol insert washer (2) between the engine
mount and the frame.
Installation Procedure
- Install the engine mount to the vehicle.
Ensure the slotted washer (1) or plastisol insert washer (2)
is properly installed and located between the engine mount and the frame.
- Lower the engine onto the engine mount.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the right and left engine mount lower nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
- Remove the screw jack and a block of wood from under the engine oil pan.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the nut (1) to the top of the engine mount.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).
- Install the tower brace. Refer to
Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement.
