Discharge Hose Replacement LS2
Tools Required
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Remove the air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement.
- Remove the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement.
- Remove the bolt that holds the compressor discharge hose to the compressor.
- Separate the compressor discharge hose from the compressor.
- Remove the discharge hose clamp bolt.
- Remove the bolt (1) from the condenser.
- Separate the discharge line from the condenser.
- Remove the discharge hose.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the O-rings. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement .
- Install the discharge hose.
- Connect the discharge hose to compressor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the discharge hose bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 9.8 N·m (87 lb in).
- Install the discharge hose clamp bolt.
- Install the discharge hose to the condenser.
- Install the bolt (1) to the discharge hose.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).
- Install the radiator. Refer to
Radiator Replacement.
- Install the air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement.
- Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Leak test the fittings of the component using
J 39400-A .

- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to

- Remove the front bumper facia deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the bolt that holds the compressor discharge hose to the compressor.
- Separate the compressor discharge hose from the compressor.
- Remove the bolt (1) from the condenser.
- Separate the discharge line from the condenser.
- Remove the discharge hose.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the O-rings. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
- Install the discharge hose.
- Connect the discharge hose to compressor.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the discharge hose bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 9.8 N·m (87 lb in).
- Install the discharge hose to the condenser.
- Install the bolt (1) to the discharge hose.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).
- Install the front bumper facia deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
.
- Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to

- Leak test the fittings of the component using
J 39400-A
