Front Fender Emblem Assembly

Tip
When removing protective liners from adhesive backed emblems, be careful not to touch the tape with hands and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.

  1. Use a J 25070 Heat Gun or equivalent to remove the old emblem. Clean all the adhesive residue from the fender, wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel prior to installing new emblem.
  2. Apply thumb pressure to the emblem to ensure full adhesion is made to the fender.

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Using a J 25070 Heat Gun in a circular motion, warm the front fender emblems/nameplates prior to removal.
  2. Carefully clean the fender panel thoroughly prior to bonding the new emblems/nameplates to the front fender.

Front Side Fender Nameplate (V Series)

Caution: Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Notice in the Preface section.

Tip

  1. Clean the adhesive tape from the surface of the front side fender and dry thoroughly before applying new nameplate.
  2. Peel protective backing from emblem and ensure no foreign matter or dirt comes in contact with the adhesive backing prior to installation.
  3. Install the nameplate and apply pressure to ensure full adhesion to the front side fender.
