GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number for the Door Module (DDSA, DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 to 25.0 volts. This is the current battery voltage level at the door module.

Calibration ID: The scan tool displays the calibration or program revision level used in the PROM.

Component Serial # 8-11: The scan tool displays the first partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 12: The scan tool displays the second partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 13-16: The scan tool displays the third partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 17-18: The scan tool displays the last partition of the door module serial number.

Dimming: The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the state of the door switches backlighting as detected by the associated door module. When the door switches are illuminated, the scan tool displays Active in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door switches are not illuminated, the scan tool displays Inactive in the appropriate door modules data list.

Hardware Level: The scan tool displays a number representing the level of hardware incorporated into the door module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Julian Date Of Build: The scan tool displays a number representing the day of the year the module selected was built.

LF Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down. This is the state of the driver door window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Load Shed Lvl.2 R. Defog.: The scan tool displays Enabled/Disabled. The scan tool displays Enabled, when system voltage is low. The RIM cycles the rear window defogger ON at 50 percent of a cycle and OFF at 50 percent of the cycle.

LR Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Down. This is the state of the drivers left rear window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Module ID: The scan tool displays the module identity. The driver door module and the left rear door module display DDM/LRD as an Input. The passenger front door module and the right rear door module display PDM/RRD as an Input. On vehicles w/V4U, the left middle door module and the right middle door module display RMD/LMD as an Input.

PROM ID: The scan tool displays the PROM ID of the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Rear Defog Relay: The scan tool displays On/Off. When the rear window defogger is enabled, the HVAC control module sends a class 2 message to the RIM to enable the rear defogger relay. The RIM energizes the rear defogger relay by grounding the control circuit of the rear defogger relay, which the scan tool displays as On.

RF Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down. This is the state of the drivers right front window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

RR Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Down. This is the state of the drivers right rear window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Software Level: The scan tool displays the 4-digit number of the software incorporated into the door module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Window Current: The scan tool displays amperage. This is the electrical current being used by the window motor during operation as detected by the associated door module.

Window Lockout LED (output): The scan tool displays Off/On. This is the state of the LED indicator on the window lockout switch button as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the LED light is illuminated, the scan tool displays On. When the LED indicator light is not illuminated, the scan tool displays Off.

Window Lockout Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Pressed. This is the state of the window lockout switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the window lockout switch is not being operated, the scan tool displays Idle.

Window Motor: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down. This is the door module output to the associated window. Upon receiving a valid window Up or Down request, the door module supplies voltage and ground to the associated window motor to move the window in the requested direction and the scan tool displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door module is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated window motor to move the window in either direction, the scan tool displays Idle.

Window Motor Peak Current: The scan tool displays peak amperage. This is the peak electrical current used by the window motor during window operation as detected by the associated door module.

Window Switch Inputs: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the front passenger door window, or, Idle/Up/Down/Express Down for a rear door window. This is the state of a passenger door window switch as detected by the associated passenger door module (all door modules except DDSA and DDM).

Year Module Built: The scan tool displays the 4-digit year of build for the module selected.
