GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number for the Door Module (DDSA, DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Battery Voltage: The scan tool displays 0 to 25.0 volts. This is the current battery voltage level at the door module.

Calibration ID: The scan tool displays the calibration or program revision level used in the PROM.

Component Serial # 8-11: The scan tool displays the first partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 12: The scan tool displays the second partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 13-16: The scan tool displays the third partition of the door module serial number.

Component Serial # 17-18: The scan tool displays the last partition of the door module serial number.

Dimming: The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the state of the door switches backlighting as detected by the associated door module. When the door switches are illuminated, the scan tool displays Active in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door switches are not illuminated, the scan tool displays Inactive in the appropriate door modules data list.

Hardware Level: The scan tool displays a number representing the level of hardware incorporated into the Door Module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Heated Mirror: The scan tool displays Off/On. This is the driver door module (DDM) or the passenger front door module (PFDM) output to the associated mirror. When the DDM or the PFDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays On in the appropriate door modules data list. When the DDM or PFDM is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Off.

Julian Date Of Build: The scan tool displays a number representing the day of the year the module selected was built.

Left/Right Sensor: The scan tool displays 0.25 - 5.50 volts (DDM and PFDM only). This is the mirror horizontal position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the associated front door module, i.e. driver door module (DDM), or passenger front door module (PFDM). The voltage varies directly with the horizontal position of the associated outside rearview mirror.

Memory Recall Switches: The scan tool displays Idle/ Driver 1/Driver 2/Exit. This is the state of the memory function switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When a memory function switch button is pressed, the scan tool momentarily displays the function pressed.

Mirror Fold Switch (Export): The scan tool displays Idle/In. This is the state of the outside rearview mirror power fold switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the power fold switch is not being operated the scan tool displays Idle.

Mirror Motor: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Left/Right/Fold In/Fold Out. This is the driver door module (DDM) or passenger front door module (PFDM) output to the associated outside rearview mirror. When the DDM or the PFDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated driver or passenger mirror motor to move the mirror up, down, left, or right, or to Fold In or Fold Out, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the DDM or the PFDM is not supplying voltage and ground to a mirror motor, the scan tool displays Idle.

Mirror Select Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Driver/Passenger. This is the state of the mirror select switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). The display indicates which mirror, if any, the operator has selected for adjustment.

Mirror Switch: The scan tool displays Up/Down/Left/Right/Up-Left/Up-Right/Down-Left/Down-Right. This is the state of the mirror position adjustment switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly. When the mirror position adjustment switch is operated in any of these directions, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction.

Module ID: The scan tool displays the module identity. The driver door module and the left rear door module display DDM/LRD as an Input. The passenger front door module and the right rear door module display PDM/RRD as an Input. On vehicles w/V4U, the left middle door module and the right middle door module display RMD/LMD as an Input.

Personalization: The scan tool displays driver 1 or driver 2. This is the identity of the current driver as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Personalization Option: This is the state of the personalization option as it is stored in the Dash Integration Module (DIM). When Personalization Option is selected, the scan tool displays the directions to activate or deactivate the personalization option. The personalization option is normally set to the activated state during assembly of the vehicle.

PROM ID: The scan tool displays the PROM ID of the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Software Level: The scan tool displays the four digit number of the software incorporated into the Door Module (DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Up/Down Sensor: The scan tool displays 0.25 - 5.50 volts (DDM and PFDM only). This is the mirror vertical position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the associated front door module, i.e. driver door module (DDM), or passenger front door module (PFDM). The voltage varies directly with the vertical position of the associated outside rearview mirror.

Year Module Built: The scan tool displays the four digit year of build for the module selected.
