Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. This step verifies that Personalization in the driver information center (DIC) is active. The memory mirrors cannot function if Personalization is inactive. A check mark displayed after the word Personalization indicates it is active.

  2. This step verifies that the Personalization Option in the dash integration module (DIM) is activated. The memory mirrors cannot function if the option is turned off. An asterisk displayed beside the option indicates that the option is activated.

  3. This step verifies the integrity of the mirror sensor 5-volt reference circuit.

  4. This step verifies that the mirror sensor low reference circuit is not open.

  5. This step verifies that the voltage applied by the door module to the mirror position sensor circuits is within the appropriate range. When the mirror motor harness connector is disconnected the measured voltage for each sensor should be 4.25-5.5 volts.

  6. The position sensors are an integral part of the mirror motor pack assembly and are not serviced separately. If a position sensor fails, the mirror motor must be replaced.
