Steering Bind or Click Noise on Left Turn

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2004-2006 Cadillac CTS and CTS-V built prior to 01/10/06 may experience a steering drag or binding feel and/or a click noise on left turns
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the lower Intermediate Shaft pinch bolt for contacting the sub-frame (Cradle) assembly. If contact is found, grind 1mm off of the intermediate shaft bolt head to provide proper clearance.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
