Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1392497 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1680296 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the vacuum pipe (3) from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Disconnect the engine purge pipe (1) from the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.
  5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the bracket (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1680296 Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister purge valve to the bracket (2).
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the EVAP canister purge valve.
  3. Connect the engine purge pipe (1) to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Connect the vacuum pipe (3) to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
