Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector (1).
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Loosen the MAF/IAT clamp (2).
- Remove the MAF/IAT sensor from the air cleaner outlet duct. Note the position of the MAF/IAT sensor.
Notice:
• Handle the MAF sensor carefully. • Do not drop the MAF sensor in order to prevent damage to the MAF
sensor. • Do not damage the screen located on the air inlet
end of the MAF. • Do not touch the sensing elements. • Do not allow solvents and lubricants to come in contact with the
sensing elements. • Use a small amount of a soap based solution in order to aid in
the installation.
Installation Procedure
- Carefully install the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner outlet duct. Ensure that sensor is clocked properly.
- Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2).
- Loosely install the air cleaner outlet duct assembly to the vehicle.
- Connect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
