Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 55819 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 5.7L.
  2. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 58838 Size: SH
  3. Pull the MAP sensor forward in order to release the sensor from the retainer.
  4. Lift the MAP sensor upward.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 58838 Size: SH

    Important: 

       â€¢ Inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage. Replace the seal if necessary.
       â€¢ Lightly coat the MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil before installing the sensor.

  1. Install the MAP sensor. Push down the sensor in order to engage the retainer.

    2. Object Number: 55819 Size: SH
  2. Connect the MAP sensor harness connector.
  3. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 5.7L.
