THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO UPDATE STEP 1 OF THE "REMOVE OR DISCONNECT" PROCEDURE. PLEASE DISCARD CORPORATE BULLETIN NUMBER 53-10-24 (SECTION 10 - BODY). **********************************************************************
PLEASE ADD THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO SECTION 10-6 OF THE SERVICE MANUAL.
MIRROR SWITCH BEZEL ===================
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT -
1. BUICK & OLDSMOBILE - FRONT LEFT DOOR POWER LOCK AND WINDOW SWITCH BEZEL BY ENGAGING A SMALL FLAT BLADE SCREWDRIVER TO SPRING CLIP UNDER REAR OF BEZEL.
PONTIAC - FRONT DOOR POWER LOCK AND WINDOW SWITCH BEZEL BY PRYING UNDER REAR EDGE OF THE BEZEL AFTER TWO SCREWS ARE REMOVED.
2. WIRE HARNESS CONNECTORS.
3. AT FRONT DOOR POWER LOCK AND WINDOW SWITCH OPENING, REACH INSIDE OPENING OF DOOR TRIM PANEL AND DISENGAGE MIRROR SWITCH FROM BEZEL BY PULLING ON BASE OF MIRROR SWITCH.
4. PUSH ON BASE OF BEZEL TO DISCONNECT FROM DOOR TRIM PANEL.
INSTALL OR CONNECT:
1. ALIGN KEYWAY ON BEZEL TO DOOR TRIM PANEL AND PUSH TO ENGAGE BEZEL.
2. AT FRONT DOOR POWER LOCK AND WINDOW SWITCH OPENING, REACH INSIDE OPENING OF DOOR TRIM PANEL AND ALIGN KEYWAY ON MIRROR SWITCH TO BEZEL, THEN GRASP MIRROR SWITCH HANDLE AND PULL TOWARD BEZEL UNTIL IT SNAPS IN PLACE.
3. WIRE HARNESS CONNECTORS.
4. FRONT DOOR POWER LOCK AND WINDOW SWITCH BEZEL BY INSERTING CLIPS AND SNAP INTO PLACE.
