FRONT SUSPENSION SQUAWKING NOISE- STABILIZER BAR

MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 SKYHAWK

NOTICE: This bulletin supersedes Bulletin 84-3-8. Please discard previous bulletin and replace it with this one. The Bulletin Labor Time is incorrect.

Some early 1984 Skyhawks may exhibit a "squawking" noise which may be caused by the front stabilizer bar bushings when they are subjected to significant jounce/rebound suspension motions. Vehicles experiencing the "squaking" noise can be repaired by installing two (2) new insulators from the following part number list:

OLD P/N NEW P/N STABILIZER BAR DIAMETER -------- ------- ---------------------- 14076616 14085144 22mm (0.867 in.) 14076619 14085147 28mm (1.102 in.) 14076620 14085148 30mm (1.181 in.)

Vehicles built after the following breakpoint should not exhibit the "squawking" noise:
