Some early 1984 Skyhawks may exhibit a "squawking" noise which may be caused by the front stabilizer bar bushings when they are subjected to significant jounce/rebound suspension motions. Vehicles experiencing the "squaking" noise can be repaired by installing two (2) new insulators from the following part number list:
OLD P/N NEW P/N STABILIZER BAR DIAMETER -------- ------- ---------------------- 14076616 14085144 22mm (0.867 in.) 14076619 14085147 28mm (1.102 in.) 14076620 14085148 30mm (1.181 in.)

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
