PANEL DISTORTION FRONT END

MODELS AFFECTED: 1982 Skyhawk

The front end panel on 1982 Skyhawk models may distort away from its retainers above the headlamps. Retainers have been released to hold the front end panel in place. These retainers may be obtained through WDDGM by ordering the following part numbers:

Right Side - 22520274

Left Side - 22520275

The retainers can be installed by using the following procedure:

1. Remove headlight bezel.

2. Remove Parking Lamp Assembly.

3. Install front end panel retainer between fascia and existing support panel so that the bolt hole lines up with mounting hole for parking lamp assembly. (See Illustration).

Proper retainer is indicated with a letter stamped on top. L for Left, R for Right. See inset, Illustration.

4. Install parking lamp assembly and position so that top mounting bolt goes through retainer, then through lamp assembly.

5. Install headlamp bezel.
