Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.

  3. Object Number: 73996  Size: SH
  4. Remove the engine mount through bolts, screws, and nuts.
  5. Raise the engine with a jacking fixture.
  6. Remove the engine mount bolts, screws, nuts, and mount.

  7. Object Number: 73998  Size: SH
  8. Remove the engine mount bracket bolts, screws, washers, and brackets.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 73998  Size: SH
  1. Install the engine mount brackets, washers, and the engine mount bolts, and screws.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount bracket bolts, and screws to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the engine mount, the engine mount bolts and screws, and the engine mount nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount bolts and screws to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

    Lower the engine.

  5. Install the engine mount through the bolts, screws, and nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount through the bolts and screws to 120 N·m (89 lb ft). Tighten the nuts to 80 N·m (59 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
