  1. Remove the oil pump driveshaft bolts.
  2. Remove the oil pump driveshaft.
  3. Remove the camshaft retainer bolts and retainer.

    4. Important: All camshaft journals are the same diameter, so care must be used in removing the camshaft to avoid damage to the bearings.

  4. Remove the camshaft.
    5. 4.1. Install the three 5/16--18 x 4.0 inch bolts in the camshaft front bolt holes.
    4.2. Carefully rotate and pull the camshaft out of the bearings.
