SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A GAP BETWEEN THE DOOR OPENING WEATHERSTRIP AND ROOF LINE. AN APPEARANCE CONCERN AND/OR WINDNOISE ISSUE MAY RESULT DUE TO THIS CONDITION.
DRIP MOLDING DOES NOT HAVE THE PROPER RETENTION WITH EXISTING SCREWS CAUSING MOLDING TO "CREEP", RESULTING IN A GAP.
1. REMOVE WEATHERSTRIP AT THE AFFECTED AREA.
2. LOOSEN WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER ATTACHING SCREWS.
3. HAND FORCE DRIP MOLDING TO DESIRED POSITION.
4. RE-TIGHTEN WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER ATTACHING SCREWS.
5. DRIVE TWO (2) ADDITIONAL SCREWS, P/N 10180421, THROUGH THE WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER AND DRIP MOLDING TO HOLD ROOF DRIP SIDE MOLDING IN POSITION (FIGURE 1).
6. REINSTALL WEATHERSTRIP.
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
