EXHAUST RATTLE (SHIM EXHAUST HANGER)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1989 E

Some 1989 Buick Rivieras bulit before VIN 415557 may experience a condition of an exhaust rattle. This condition may be caused by the exhaust system contacting the underbody brace. To repair this condition shim the underbody brace 6 mm (1/4") from the underbody using two 3 mm (1/8") washers or equivalent at each bolt location. Refer to Figure 1.
