EXHAUST RATTLE (SHIM EXHAUST HANGER)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1989 RIVIERAS

Some 1989 Buick Rivieras built before VIN 415557 may experience a condition of an exhaust rattle. This condition may be caused by the exhaust system contacting the underbody brace. To repair this condition shim the underbody brace 1/4" from the underbody using two 1/8" washers or equivalent at each bolt location. Refer to illustration.
