CONVERTIBLE STANDING HEIGHT REPAIR PROCEDURES

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1984 Eldorado Convertible

Some 1984 Eldorado convertibles may experience a high front standing height condition. The front standing height should be within the specifications listed below. If the standing height cannot be brought within the specification by a torsion bar adjustment, the torsion bar rear anchor arms should be checked.

The Eldorado Convertibles should be equipped with FK2 torsion bar rear anchor arms (P/N 22505389) which may be identified by a dab of green paint. If a vehicle is not equipped with the FK2 anchor arms, install the FK2 anchor arms and adjust the torsion bars to correct the front standing height.

For warranty purposes, use the most applicable labour Operation No. claiming .3 hour to adjust or 1.7 hours to repalce the anchor arms.
