Power Mirror Replacement Power
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the nuts from the outside rearview mirror.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the outside rearview mirror.
- Remove the outside rearview mirror from the front door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the outside rearview mirror to the front door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the outside rearview mirror nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the outside rearview mirror nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the outside rearview mirror.
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
Power Mirror Replacement Power Folding
The power folding mirror motor is not serviceable. If the motor fails, the power folding mirror must be replaced as an assembly. The mirror face and the mirror face motor are serviceable. Refer to

Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement

Removal Procedure
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to

.
- Remove the nuts from the outside rearview mirror.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the outside rearview mirror.
- Remove the outside rearview mirror from the front door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the outside rearview mirror to the front door.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the outside rearview mirror nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the outside rearview mirror nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the outside rearview mirror.
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
