Spark Plug Wires Not Operating Properly 3100 Engine L82

1. Turn the ignition OFF.

Important: Note the position of the wires and the wire looms before removing.

2. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from front spark plugs by twisting the boot 1/2 turn before removing the spark plug boot.



3. Remove the spark plug wire retaining clips from the engine.
4. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the rear spark plug(s).



5. Remove the spark plug wire retaining clips from rear of the engine.
6. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the ignition coil(s).
7. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the engine.

Important: If replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the spark plug wire conduit or the spark plug wire retaining clips.

1. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the engine.
2. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the ignition coil(s).
3. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the rear spark plug(s).



4. Install the spark plug wire retaining clips to rear of the engine.
5. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the front spark plug(s).



6. Install the spark plug wire retaining clips to front of the engine.

Spark Plug Wires Not Operating Properly 3.4L Engine LQ1

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

Important: Note the position of the wires and the wire looms before removing.

3. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from front spark plugs by twisting the boot 1/2 turn before removing the spark plug boot.
4. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the wire looms.
5. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the ignition coil(s).



6. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the engine.

Important: If replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the spark plug wire conduit or the spark plug wire retaining clips.

1. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the engine.
2. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the ignition coil(s).



3. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the wire looms.
4. Install the spark plug wire to the spark plugs.
5. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer toUpper Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

Spark Plug Wires Not Operating Properly 3800 Engine L36 and L67

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.

Important: Note the position of the wires and the wire looms before removing.

3. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from front spark plugs by twisting the boot 1/2 turn before removing the spark plug boot.



4. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the wire looms.
5. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the ignition coil(s).



6. Remove the spark plug wire(s) from the engine.

Important: If replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the boot heat shield, spark plug wire conduit or the spark plug wire retaining clips.

1. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the engine.
2. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the ignition coil(s).



3. Install the spark plug wire(s) to the wire looms.
4. Install the spark plug wire to the spark plugs.



5. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
