Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.

General Information
- Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to
Engine Mount Strut Replacement
.
- Install the J 28467-A
, J 28467-90
and J 36462
.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Information.
- Remove the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Body Front End.
- Remove the air conditioning compressor and set aside. Refer to
HVAC.
- Remove the left (front) engine mount bracket
bolts from the engine.
- Remove the right (rear) engine mount bracket
bolts from the engine.
- Raise the engine in order to provide clearance. Use the J 28467-A
, J 28467-90
and J 36462
.
- Remove the upper engine
mount nuts.
- Remove the engine mount bracket.
Installation Procedure

- Install the engine mount
bracket to the engine mount.
- Install the upper engine mount nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the upper engine mount nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Lower the engine.
- Loosely install the right (rear) engine mount
bracket bolts to the engine.
- Loosely install the left (front) engine mount
bracket bolts to the engine.
- Tighten the bolts connecting the engine mount bracket to the engine.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 102 N·m (75 lb ft).
- Install the air conditioning compressor. Refer to HVAC.
- Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Body Front End.
- Install the right front tire and wheel. Refer to Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the J 28467-A
, J 28467-90
and J 36462
.
- Install the engine mount struts. Refer to
Engine Mount Strut Replacement
.
- Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery.
