DIESEL HYDRO BOOST BRAKES SPOOL VALVE SEAL INFORMATION

THE SPOOL VALVE SLEEVE SHOWN IN FIG. 5-44 ON PAGE 5-55 OF THE 1982 CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL IS USED WITH CUTLASS SUPREME AND TORONADO MODELS WITH HYDRO-BOOST BRAKES ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THE SPOOL VALVE SLEEVE IS TO LIMIT THE PRESSURE TO THE CALIPER TO APPROXIMATELY 2300 PSI. PRESSURE MUST BE LIMITED TO THE SMALLER CALIPERS USED ON CUTLASS SUPREME AND TORONADO MODELS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CALIPERS.
