THIS IS A MONTHLY SERVICE NEWSLETTER ARTICLE THIS INFORMATION IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A PUBLISHED BULLETIN
ON CARS WITH HEADS UP DISPLAY (HUD), THE INTENSITY OF THE DISPLAY WILL BE DIMINISHED WHEN THE DRIVER IS WEARING POLARIZED SUNGLASSES. THIS IS A CHARACTERISTIC OF REFLECTED LIGHT FROM A LIGHT SOURCE. WHEN LIGHT IS REFLECTED OFF A SHINY SURFACE, THE LIGHT BECOMES POLARIZED AND THE POLARIZED SUNGLASSES FILTER OUT THE REFLECTED LIGHT. THIS IS LIKE THE COMMERCIALS FOR POLARIZED SUNGLASSES THAT SHOW A SUN LIGHT REFLECTION ON A LAKE WITHOUT SUNGLASSES, AND WHEN THE POLARIZED LENSES ARE PUT ON, THE REFLECTION GOES AWAY. THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR THIS CONDITION AS IT IS A PROPERTY OF REFLECTED LIGHT AND PHYSICS.

GENERAL MOTORS BULLETINS ARE INTENDED FOR USE BY PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS, NOT A "DO-IT-YOURSELFER". THEY ARE WRITTEN TO INFORM THOSE TECHNICIANS OF CONDITIONS THAT MAY OCCUR ON SOME VEHICLES, OR TO PROVIDE INFORMATION THAT COULD ASSIST IN THE PROPER SERVICE OF A VEHICLE. PROPERLY TRAINED TECHNICIANS HAVE THE EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND KNOW-HOW TO DO A JOB PROPERLY AND SAFELY. IF A CONDITION IS DESCRIBED, DO NOT ASSUME THAT THE BULLETIN APPLIES TO YOUR VEHICLE, OR THAT YOUR VEHICLE WILL HAVE THAT CONDITION. SEE A GENERAL MOTORS DEALER SERVICING YOUR BRAND OF GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLE FOR INFORMATION ON WHETHER YOUR VEHICLE MAY BENEFIT FROM THE INFORMATION.
