These vehicles use a see-through coolant recovery reservoir. During vehicle use, coolant heats and expands. The expanding coolant flows into the coolant reservoir. The vent valve on the reservoir closes because of expansion and coolant flow.
Any air or vapor in the cooling system is forced through a hose connected to the coolant reservoir. The air then leaves through the vent tube at the top of the reservoir. As the system cools, the vent valve draws the extra coolant from the reservoir back into the cooling system. This keeps the radiator full at all times.
Check the coolant visually through the coolant reservoir. Maintain the coolant level between the FULL HOT and FULL COLD indicators on the reservoir.
