The LeSabre rear bracket part numbers listed on page 3 and page 5 (Figure 3) of bulletin indicated incorrect location when brackets are installed on a vehicle. Correct location is as follows:
LOCATION PART NUMBER -------- ----------- Right Side 25522503
Left Side 25522502
Some of the vehicles on your campaign vehicle list may have been assembled with a full-width bumper reinforcement (Figure 1 in 84-C-2), and do not require the campaign change. To obtain credit for inspecting a vehicle which does not require brackets, use the following operation:
Other Failure Labor Labor Hours Operation Code Opr. No. Hours (Admin.) --------- ------- -------- ----- -------- Inspect for 96 V2024 .2 Hrs. .1 Hr. Bumper Brackets Only.
The inspection operation is not to be used in conjunction with a replacement operation, as only one applicable operation will be allowed. The replacement operations include sufficient time for inspection.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
