CONDITION: SYSTEM OVER REACTS TO TEMPERATURE SETTINGS. IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN SET AT A VERY LOW TEMPERATURE OR VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE . THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT GETS EITHER TOO COLD, OR TOO HOT FOR TEMPERATURE SETTING. CAUSE: MISSING IN-CAR SENSOR COVER (SEE ILLUSTRATION). CORRECTION: INSPECT VEHICLE FOR IN-CAR SENSOR COVER. IF THE COVER IS MISSING, ORDER PART NUMBER 1259773 (COVER) AND INSTALL. PROCEDURE: 1.REMOVE RIGHT SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM PLATE BY PULLING STRAIGHT OUT. 2.REMOVE FOUR (4) SCREWS FROM DEFROSTER GRILL (TWO ON EACH SIDE). 3.REMOVE TWO (2) SCREWS FROM PADDED INSTRUMENT COVER SIDES, (ONE ON EACH SIDE). 4.REMOVE FIVE (5) 7MM SCREWS FROM UNDER FRONT OF PADDED INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER. 5.LIFT PADDED INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER AND CHECK FOR IN-CAR SENSOR COVER, INSTALL AS NECESSARY. 6.TO ASSEMBLE, REVERSE PROCEDURE.
